Casey and Doug's Wedding at Twisted Ranch in Bertram, TX
We love Casey and Doug! They are such sweet, sweet people! Casey contacted us a long time ago to inquire about us shooting their wedding and we were so glad that they decided to use us as their wedding photographers. Elena and I had the opportunity to spend lots of time with Casey and Doug over the past few months with engagement and bridal sessions and are so thankful that we had the chance to get to know them better. We did their engagement session at their house in Liberty Hill so we could use their land and horses in the pictures. We loved their engagement pictures so much that we asked Casey if we could do her bridal session at their house, too. Luckily, she agreed and, once again, the pictures were awesome!!!
Twisted Ranch is such a fantastic venue! It is a long drive for us from southwest Austin out to Bertram. But, every time we are there we are so happy that we have another chance to take pictures at Twisted Ranch. It is one of our favorite, favorite venues. When we arrived, we immediately got to work taking pictures of details and people getting ready. Casey and her bridesmaids were busy with hair and makeup and clothes and decorations. Doug and his groomsmen were busy with...well, they weren't that busy. :-) We had plenty of time before the ceremony for groom and groomsmen pictures and bride and bridesmaids pictures.
Casey and Doug's ceremony was held in the small chapel at Twisted Ranch. It was the perfect size for all of their guests and the ceremony was beautiful. We then spent a few minutes taking family pictures before we headed outside for pictures of Casey and Doug. We love all of their pictures together! Casey and Doug gave us plenty of time for pictures and we really appreciated them braving the heat (it was surprisingly hot for March) to stand outside with us for a few more minutes.
Casey and Doug's reception was so much fun (of course it was...Mike Sellers was there)! It was so great to see Casey and Doug celebrating with their friends and family. One of the things that Elena and I love the most about Casey and Doug and their friends and family is that they really went out of their way to make us feel like family. There wasn't a single second of the day when Elena and I felt like just the hired help. Everyone was so kind to make us feel so much a part of the evening. We look forward to seeing Casey and Doug and Mike and Laura again soon!
