Devin and Devin's Wedding at The Terrace Club in Dripping Springs, TX
When Devin and Devin came to our home for their consultation, it took us a minute to figure out who was who. "Oh...wait...you're both Devin?" I didn't tell them then how excited I was about their names being the same. This meant that I only had to remember one name! As soon as they left our home, Elena and I looked at each other and said, "We sure hope they decide to book with us!" Obviously, our wish was granted and we are so glad that we got to spend a wonderful fall day with Devin and Devin at one of our favorite venues, The Terrace Club.
We were so happy to have the opportunity to take bridal pictures of (girl) Devin prior to the wedding. We visited Laguna Gloria one morning and spent a couple of hours just roaming around the grounds with Devin. She is a beautiful young lady. And, (what we enjoyed even more) she has a beautiful personality! She was so positive and fun and upbeat. We love when our clients have fun and we love having fun with them. That was exactly what happened at Devin's bridal shoot. And, no surprise to us, her pictures were stunning!
We are always so excited to return to The Terrace Club! There is no such thing as a bad or average wedding there. Every detail is taken care of and the wedding day always goes so smoothly. It makes our job so much easier and the day much more enjoyable for the couple. Ashley, the coordinator for the day, was so, so good! She was always one step ahead of whatever was going. When things didn't go exactly as planned, she was quick to roll with the punches. We were so impressed with how well she guided the day!
When we arrived, (girl) Devin and her bridesmaids were in the bridal suite jamming to music and getting ready. We love it when we hear music and laughter before we ever step foot in the bride's room. That is a sign that everyone is relaxed and having fun. Devin and her bridesmaids were such a fun group of girls. When (boy) Devin and his groomsmen arrived, we immediately found out that they were equally as relaxed as the girls. One of my favorite moments of the day, however, was when (boy) Devin talked with his groomsmen before everyone got dressed. For just a few moments, the groomsmen room was very quiet. Devin took just a few moments to express his heart-felt appreciation to everyone for their support and friendship. It was a very special moment and I was glad that I was there at the right time to see it.
Things didn't exactly go as scheduled for Devin and Devin's wedding. Some weather and unexpected traffic held up the transportation from the hotel to the venue for many of the guests. This caused the ceremony to be delayed almost an hour. Instead of getting flustered or anxious, Devin and Devin decided to take advantage of the exta time they had before the ceremony. We did a first look and it was beautiful!!! Plus, the timing was just right to incorporate some really beautiful sunset pictures into their shoot! We then had time for wedding party pictures and family pictures. It was great!
Devin and Devin's ceremony was beautiful. Because we had already done all of their pictures before the ceremony, we were able to start the party immediately after the ceremony. And, what a party it was! This was the danciest crowd we have ever seen! In fact, their were so many people dancing that the dance floor couldn't hold them all. It was a great celebration and nobody wanted to leave when the time came!
Devin and Devin, thank you so much for including us in your wedding celebration! Thank you for being so kind and so fun to work with. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
