We met Ann and Trent several years ago at a wedding we were shooting. They were the best man and maid of honor and maid of honor at their friends', Esme and Cole, wedding. They danced and acted silly the whole evening. We told them when they were ready to get married that they should call us because we would love to be their photographers. Well...lucky us...they called! And, we were so glad they did because we had a wonderful time with them.
Ann and Trent are both so laid back. Going to their wedding was like going to spend the afternoon with old friends. Their venue, Gruene Estate, was such a cool little place for a wedding. There was a very unique open-air chapel and a neat, rustic outdoor reception area. Ann and Trent did their first look in the little chapel and it was so great! There were a few tears and lots of laughter as these best friends spent a few minutes alone before the hustle and bustle of their wedding day. All of the pictures of Ann and Trent together were really, really cute! After their pictures, we did pictures of the wedding party. Esme and Cole were there (matron of honor and best man) and it was so great to see them again!
Ann and Trent's ceremony was beautifully done by Ann's brother. There wasn't a dry eye in the place by the time he was done. It was one of the best ceremonies we have seen in a long, long time. After the ceremony, we took some family pictures and then it was time for the party to start. Dinner was awesome! And, in place of a traditional wedding cake, Ann and Trent had donuts and pie. I've never had donuts AND pie at the same time. I didn't even know that was a food option. Now I know...it isn't just an option, it's like dessert heaven! Andy with Austin Classic DJ played great music all night and Ann and Trent danced with their friends and family. The night ended way too soon!
Ann and Trent, thank you for being so kind and fun and easy to work with. We are so glad that we had the opportunity to get to know you both! We wish you many, many years of snuggly evenings, curled up with your favorite books in front of a warm fireplace!
