Several months ago, we had the opportunity to spend a morning taking engagement pictures with Sierra and John (you can see their pictures here). Elena and I were so impressed with how nice and polite Sierra and John were with us. But, even more importantly, we were impressed with how nice and polite they were with each other. So many people overlook the importance of something as basic as kindness and politeness even though those two things should be automatic in relationships. We were so glad to see Sierra and John starting their lives together in this way. As soon as we left their engagement shoot, we were already talking about how much we were looking forward to their wedding.
Sierra and John's wedding at Thurman's Mansion in Driftwood was a fantastic celebration. Sierra looked beautiful in her dress! And, the couple's first look pictures from the second story balcony of Thurman's Mansion were beautiful. Of course, it was sometimes hard to keep our minds on the picture taking because we could smell the Salt Lick bar-b-que that was being prepared for dinner. After the ceremony, we went outside on the steps of the mansion and took family pictures and bridal party pictures. Then it was time for dinner...Salt Lick family style bar-b-que! It was delicious!!!
Sierra and John had a great time with their friends and family during their reception. It is always fun for us taking pictures of the newlyweds with all of their guests. We love knowing that we provided the entire family with important pictures that they will cherish for many years!
Thank you, Sierra and John, for letting Elena and I spend this important day with you. Thank you for being so polite and so nice. We wish you both many, many years of happiness!
