Elena and I were so pleased to spend the day with Jennifer and Troy on their wedding day. As soon as they left our house after their consultation, we looked at each other and agreed that we were lucky to be their photographers because they were both such nice people. Their wedding in Redbud Hall at Texas Old Town was a wonderful celebration of Jennifer and Troy's relationship with their closest friends and family. We are constantly amazed that we get to be the ones to take pictures of such special events in people's lives.
Of course, taking pictures of Jennifer and Troy was pretty easy. Their first look was a perfect opportunity for them to spend a few minutes with each other before the hustle and bustle of the ceremony and reception. And, like is often the case, their first look was emotional for both of them. After the first look, we took pictures of the bridal party and some family pictures, then it was on to the ceremony. My favorite part of the entire day was when Jennifer and Troy said their vows during the ceremony. Troy was super emotional and struggled to get through his vows. Far from being embarrassing, Troy's display of emotions during the vows was touching and honest. It was obvious that he only got that emotional because he loves Jennifer so much. That is exactly the way grooms should feel about their brides. It was really a beautiful moment and a beautiful ceremony.
We did some more family pictures after the ceremony and then had time to take just a couple of pictures with Jennifer and Troy and one of Texas Old Town's wonderful sunsets. The sun and clouds were just perfect and the pictures turned out awesome! We were pleased to have Andy with Austin Classic DJ with us again and he did a great job of keeping everyone on the dance floor throughout the evening.
Jennifer and Troy, thank you so much for choosing us to be your photographers! We had a wonderful time with you and your friends and family. We wish you many, many years of happiness!
