Olivia and Rashad's Wedding at Stonehouse Villa in Driftwood, TX
What a beautiful day for a wedding! The sun was bright. The sky was clear. There was a slight breeze in the air. It was perfect! And we were so thrilled to spend this perfect day with Olivia and Rashad. From the first time I spoke with Olivia on the phone, I knew that we would love being a part of her and Rashad's wedding. She is so, so sweet. And, when they came over to our home for their consultation, we quickly learned that Rashad was equally as nice as Olivia. And, on top of being so nice, they are just as cute as can be!
Olivia and Rashad's wedding was our first time to visit Stonehouse Villa in Driftwood. It is such a cool venue! We couldn't believe that this was our first time to visit such a great place. The venue has such a unique flare and feel. We liked everything about it. We arrived before the wedding party so we could get some pictures of the venue and the decorations. Once Olivia and Rashad arrived, we were immediately busy taking pictures of everything that was happening. We spent a few minutes with the groom and groomsmen and then sent them back to their room. Olivia and her bridesmaids then came outside and we took pictures of them before guests began to arrive.
Olivia and Rashad's ceremony was so beautiful. One of the things that we enjoy about taking pictures is that we get to see wedding ceremonies from lots of different angles. We get to see both the audience's view of the bride and groom as well as the bride and groom's view of the audience. Olivia and Rashad's wedding ceremony was full of emotion and we loved seeing all of the joy that their friends and family had for the newlyweds.
As soon as the ceremony was over, we began taking pictures of Olivia and Rashad in hope of squeezing as much natural light out of the evening as possible. It was already getting pretty dark outside, but we were still able to capture some really great evening sky pictures. Of course, Olivia and Rashad don't take a bad picture so this part of the day was a breeze. Once we finished with their pictures, we spent a few minutes taking family pictures. It was then time for dinner, toasts, and cake. At many weddings, the bride and groom take a moment after the toasts to thank their guests for coming to the wedding. When it was time for Rashad to thank everyone, he did something much more important first. Rashad turned to Olivia and said, "You are so beautiful today!" He might be the first groom we've ever seen who started his thank you speech that way. It was our favorite part of the reception! Olivia and Rashad's reception was so much fun! People danced and laughed all night long.
Olivia and Rashad, thank you so much for allowing us to spend the day with you on this most important day. We had a wonderful time with you and your friends and family. Congratulations again! We wish you many years of happiness!
