Jordan and Derrick's Wedding in Tejas Hall at Texas Old Town in Kyle, TX
We had been looking forward to Jordan and Derrick's wedding day for some time. They are both such nice people and so down-to-earth. We knew that spending the day with them would be awesome! Lucky for us, we got to spend an afternoon with Jordan a few months before the wedding, too. We did Jordan's bridal shoot at Texas Old Town and are so happy that we can finally share the pictures. She is just a beautiful young lady and her bridal pictures are just fantastic. Jordan's dress was so unique. Her personality is super cute. Her props were excellent. It was just about the perfect bridal session. One of the things that we really like about doing bridal or engagement sessions is that we have a chance to get to know the bride and groom a bit better before the wedding. Getting to know Jordan and her mother was so enjoyable for Elena and I. And, when we arrived for the wedding, we already felt like old friends.
Jordan and Derrick's wedding was in Tejas Hall at Texas Old Town. It was the perfect setting for them. We love Texas Old Town because it is always so clean and well taken care of. The halls are big enough to fit a big group like Jordan and Derrick's. And, the ceremony sites are beautiful! The ceremony site at Tejas Hall is one of my favorites. While many people try to book spring and fall weddings, I think Texas Old Town really shines during the winter, as well. The sun hangs lower in the sky and casts long shadows from the live oak trees around Tejas Hall. That makes for really impressive pictures. Jordan and Derrick were able to take advantage of the warm sun for their ceremony and pictures and then move inside for the reception when it started to get cool outside.
Before the wedding, we took pictures of Derrick and the groomsmen and then Jordan and the bridesmaids. They had their wedding early enough that we still had plenty of sunlight after the wedding for pictures. We knocked out family pictures quickly and then got to spend a few minutes with Jordan and Derrick. Their pictures are so, so good! We were so thankful that they were willing to walk around Texas Old Town a bit to find just the right spot for pictures. We were blown away with how cute they were! It was hard for us to stop taking pictures! But, we're glad we let Jordan and Derrick get to their reception because it was so much fun! They spent all evening celebrating with their friends and family.
