What a great way to start 2015!  We were at one of our favorite venues (Texas Old Town) with a super nice couple, Michelle and Jacob.  We had the opportunity to do a bridal shoot with Michelle several weeks before the wedding.  She was so sweet.  We loved spending the afternoon with her and we loved her pictures!

We had to deal with a bit of cold, wet weather for Michelle and Jacob's wedding.  But, they both agreed to tough it out and take as many pictures outside as possible.  We started the day with their first look and it was so cute!  We loved the way Michelle came up behind Jacob and covered his eyes.  It's always interesting for us to watch how couple's react to each other during the first look.  Michelle and Jacob were so excited to see it other and it showed!  

After the wedding and some family pictures, it was time for the reception to start.  Michelle and Jacob chose to have an anniversary dance as part of their reception.  We love the anniversary dance and their's was really special.  Jacob's grandparents were the longest married couple.  His grandfather said that in January they would be married 60 years.  He was immediately corrected by his wife who said it would be 60 years in June.  Everyone had a good laugh.  I guess by the time you get to 60 years, a few months this way or that way don't really matter.  :-)  The DJ asked what the secret was to their 60 years of marriage.  Jacob's grandfather had the best answer.  "Oh, it's no secret.  God.  He's the reason we've been together for so long."

Michelle and Jacob, thank you for letting us spend the day with you and your families.  We had such a wonderful time.  Elena and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
