Elena and I had no idea that there was such a cool wedding venue so close to home! Kelly and Tim really made a great choice when they decided to use Kali-Kate Pavilion as their wedding venue. There were so many details that we didn't hardly know where to start! We love weddings with so many details around. It just seems to really make the wedding so much more personable. Everyone was hoping that the weather would cooperate enough for the wedding to be outside. While we weren't so lucky with the weather, having the wedding under the pavilion made for a very cool setting and Kelly and Tim's wedding was just beautiful! A few people even teared up... :-)
Before it got dark, the clouds broke and the sun came out. This gave us a chance to spend some time with Kelly and Tim after the wedding taking pictures in the evening sun. We had done an engagement session with Kelly and Tim just a few weeks ago and the pictures were really great. So, we weren't expecting anything less on this day, especially considering that Kelly looked so beautiful in her dress...and Tim cleaned up nice, too!
Tim decided to skip the groom's cake and go with something different. Now...different isn't always a good choice. Those of you who know me know how important the cake part of the wedding day is. But, if there is one thing I like for dessert more than cake, it is...banana pudding! Well played, Tim. His groom's cake was the biggest bowl of banana pudding I have ever seen. And it was so, so good. A risky play, but sometimes with great risk comes great reward.
Kelly and Tim, we had such a great time with you and your friends and family on your wedding day. Thank you so much for allowing Elena and I to be a part of your wedding. Congratulations again!!!
