Bethany and Caleb's Wedding at Star Hill Ranch in Austin, TX

Bethany and Caleb Wedding Slideshow Elena and I were excited about Bethany and Caleb's wedding for a couple of reasons.  First, we had a great time with Bethany and Caleb during their engagment session and were looking forward to spending the day with them.  Second, their venue was really unique and made for great pictures.  When we arrived, we met with Bethany in the bride's house and saw exactly what we love to see on a wedding day: a room full of bridesmaids laughing and having a great time!  Once the girls were ready, we had a chance to get bride and bridesmaids pictures (at least until the bugs started biting everyone).  Caleb arrived a bit later and we had plenty of time before the ceremony to get groom and groomsmen pictures, too.

The ceremony was held in a little country church.  It was wonderful.  All of Bethany and Caleb's guests fit perfectly into the church and it felt so cozy and comfortable.  Our favorite part of the ceremony was the pouring of the sand.  We see this done a lot of different ways, but we really liked the way Bethany and Caleb did it.  First, the pastor poured in white sand representing God as the base of their relationship.  Second, Bethany poured in some of her sand and then Caleb poured in some of his sand.  This represented their individual lives.  Finally, Bethany, Caleb, and the preacher all poured in their remaining sand together to represent the mixing of their lives with each other and with God.  It was a beautiful representation of their lives!

After the ceremony and pictures with family and the bride and groom (which are beautiful!!!), the reception started.  Elena and I were blown away by the food!!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you Bethany and Caleb for having such great food!  Their dinner was catered by Casa Chapala and it was so good.  The appetizers were chips with guacamole and queso.  Dinner was a buffet line of fajitas and enchilladas...and more guacamole.  Just writing about it is making my mouth water.  Elena had to remind me that I had to put my plate down and stop eating at some point and start taking pictures again.  As many of you probably know, it is usually the cake that has my undivided attention.  Well, the dinner won first prize at this wedding!  For the rest of the evening, friends and family danced and laughed and talked.  It was a fantastic celebration.

Bethany and Caleb, thank you so much for letting Elena and I be a part of your wedding day!  Thank you for feeding us on your wedding day!  :-)  We wish you both many, many years of happiness together!
