This was our first time to ever do an engagement shoot in Houston and we are so glad that we got to start with Mandy and Micah!  It was a beautiful day (in fact, it was almost hot...strange for winter) and Elena and I loved spending the morning with such a fun couple.  We hadn't had the chance to meet Mandy and Micah in person.  I did a video chat with them to answer some of their basic questions.  There's always the possibility of a bit of awkwardness when meeting clients for the first time.  They might be nervous.  We want to make a good first impression.  Everyone wants to enjoy the photo shoot.  There was no problem with any of that here.  Mandy and Micah were so personable and easy to be around.  It made the morning a breeze for us!

Hermann Park in the Houston Museum District was such a great place to take pictures.  Everywhere we looked there were photo opportunities, especially when you have a couple as cute as Mandy and Micah!  We spend several hours wandering around the park finding interesting places for pictures.  We were even able to snap a few pictures with their dogs.  To be honest, I think the dogs were much more interested in the park than they were in the photo shoot!  But, we love dogs and always enjoy the challenge of getting the dogs AND their people to look the same direction at the same time.

Elena and I look forward to spending the day with Mandy and Micah at their wedding.  We're certain it will be a fantastic celebration!
