It rained on Sarah and Chase's wedding. And, I mean hard...all day. It was just bucket after bucket of rain. But, there was one break in the downpour and it couldn't have come at a better time. Right as all of the guys and gals finished getting ready, the rain stopped and the weather was perfect for pictures for about thirty minutes. We were able to get pictures of Chase and all of the groomsmen and Sarah and all of her bridesmaids. Right as I took the last bridesmaid picture, the sky opened up again and the rain came down. We couldn't believe how lucky we were! We were so thankful that Sarah and Chase had their wedding reception at Texas Old Town. Being able to have an indoor reception is such a plus on days like this one. And, Sarah did such a great job decorating the hall.
Elena and I had such a great time with Sarah and Chase. Their wedding was so laid back and relaxed. Sarah and Chase were very traditional and chose not to see each other before the ceremony. The weather made it challenging to find good natural light, but we were still able to take some really cute pictures of the couple at Texas Old Town. After Sarah and Chase cut their cake, there were lots of little mouths waiting for their turn to get a cupcake. It was really cute to watch them feeding cake to their kids after feeding each other. It was like the mama and papa birds feeding their little baby birds. Really cute! After the cake and toasts, there was a grand march. This is always such a fun time at weddings. We enjoy watching the couple and their guests make the rounds around the reception hall, laughing and having a great time.
Sarah and Chase, thank you for letting Elena and I spend the day with you on such an important day. We are happy for you both and wish you many, many years of joy!
