Stacy and Michael's Wedding at Chateau Bellevue in Austin, TX

I don't remember how many people asked us to shoot their wedding on October 18th.  We are so glad that Stacy and Michael booked us first.  They are both such wonderful people and their wedding was...perfect!  We met at Stacy's house to get some pictures of her and the girls getting ready.  I then made my way over to the Sheraton in downtown Austin to get a few pictures of Michael getting ready.  After that, we all went to St. Mary's Cathedral in downtown Austin for the ceremony.  This was our first time taking pictures at St. Mary's.  It is such a beautiful church and made for the perfect setting for Stacy and Michael's wedding.  The high blue dome in the sanctuary, the stain glass windows, the enormous wooden doors...it was amazing!

One of the things that made Stacy and Michael's wedding day so great (at least from our perspective) was that they gave us lots of time to take pictures.  They are such a cute couple, what photographer wouldn't want more time to take pictures of them?  After the ceremony, we took the party bus a few blocks over to the Capitol Building for some bridal party pictures and a few pictures of the bride and groom.  The weather was absolutely perfect and we had the opportunity to get a bunch of really, really great pictures of Stacy and Michael.  Of course, after their engagement shoot, we expected nothing less!

The reception was at Chateau Bellevue.  What a beautiful venue!  Elena and I had already been there once when we did Stacy's bridal pictures.  It was so hard to not share her bridal pictures because they turned out so, so great!  There was an outside courtyard area for cocktail hour.  It was really great to see family and friends catching up with each other and to hear all of the laughter of people having a great time.  Once the reception started, it was a great party!!!  The dance floor was packed all night long.  When Stacy and Michael weren't being held on the shoulders of their friends, they were busy dancing.  When it was time to send the couple off, the party wasn't ready to slow down.  That's just how a wedding should be!

Stacy and Michael, we have thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent with both of you.  Your engagement session was so fun and laid back.  Stacy, your bridal session was beautiful.  And, your wedding was...well...perfect!  Elena and I wish you many, many years of happiness!
