We are so glad that we had the opportunity to be a part of Lisa and Hy's wedding!  This was our second Vietnamese wedding and we always enjoy seeing how different cultures celebrate such an important occasion.  Our day began with a morning ceremony and mass at a Vietnamese Catholic Church in San Antonio.  The ceremony was beautiful.  It was fun for us to watch Lisa and Hy interact with each other during the mass.  The way they looked at each other and smiled and giggled...it was really sweet to see how polite and attentive they were to each other.  After the mass, we took lots of family pictures at the church.  We love seeing how excited everyone was to take pictures with Lisa and Hy.  At some weddings it seems like family picture time is just something that has to be done.  At Lisa and Hy's wedding, everyone wanted to take pictures with them.  There was a line of people waiting for their turn.  It was great!

After we finished up at the church, Elena and I went with Lisa and Hy to Hemisfair Park in downtown San Antonio to take some pictures of the newlyweds.  The park was beautiful.  All of the waterfalls and trees made such a great setting for their photo shoot.  We spent about thirty minutes taking pictures and (we think) they turned out so great!

I would be lying if I said that Elena and I weren't looking forward to the reception.  We remembered how much we enjoyed eating at our first Vietnamese wedding.  Lisa and Hy's wedding was no different.  There was sooooo much food!  And it was sooooo good!  Course after course kept coming out of the kitchen.  We couldn't believe it.  But, what was even better than the food was the people that we shared a table with.  They were all so polite and nice to us.  They explained what each dish was.  They even made sure that we had food on our plates when we had to jump up and take pictures of something.  We felt like a guest at the wedding.  It was really nice.

Lisa and Hy, thank you so much for choosing Smith Photography for your wedding.  Elena and I had such a wonderful time with you.  Lisa, we loved all of your different dresses.  You looked beautiful all day!  Congratulations to you both!
