Jordyn and Josh's Wedding at Texas Old Town

Jordyn and Josh Wedding Slideshow Martha, the General Manager at Texas Old Town, told us that we would live at her venue after she put us on her preferred vendor list.  She was right and we couldn't be happier!  Texas Old Town is such a great venue and just a few minutes from our house.  We look forward to many more weddings there this year.  And, Jordyn and Josh's wedding in Redbud Hall was the perfect way to start the year off!

Jordyn is such a beautiful and kind young lady.  I don't think we've ever had a bride say so many good things about us before she's even seen her pictures.  She told her bridesmaids several times how lucky she was to find us.  It was so nice of her to say such nice things about us and her positive attitude really started our day off great!  It should be no surprise that a girl as nice as Jordyn found a guy just a nice.  Josh had a smile on his face all day (except when he tried to be serious in pictures which only worked about half the time).  It was really neat to watch Josh throughout the day with all of the kids at the wedding.  He was so kind and patient and attentive to them.

Jordyn's ceremony started in a very unique way.  The parents and family were seated.  Josh walked to the front of the ceremony site.  All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen followed him.  Everyone was waiting for the bride.  But, Jordyn had a surprise planned.  She had recorded a message for her mom.  Before Jordyn walked down the aisle, the message was played for her mom and the wedding guests.  In the message, Jordyn talked about how much her mother meant to her and how important Jordyn's wedding day was.  The message ended with Jordyn asking her mother to walk her down the aisle.  It also ended with everyone in tears.  What a creative and special moment!  Well done, Jordyn!

After the wedding, we did family pictures and then we had a chance to take pictures with Josh and Jordyn.  Once again, they gave us tons of time to take pictures!  Jordyn had said several times how important good pictures were to her and she made sure that we had all the time we needed to take great pictures.  It never ceases to amaze us how much we can do when we get time to take pictures.  Jordyn said it so well when I asked her if we could spend just a few more minutes taking pictures.  "You take as long as you need.  These pictures are going to be the most important thing I have to remember my wedding."  And, even with all of the time she gave us, they were still able to get inside and enjoy their guests and their evening.  Part of that evening (a very important part to me) was really tasty cupcakes and one of the best wedding cakes I have had made by one of Jordyn's bridesmaids!

Josh and Jordyn, thank you so much for such a great evening!  Thank you for giving us time to take so many great pictures of the two of you.  Aunt Liz, thank you for getting Jordyn's dress closed up!  (And, for all of the other work you did.)  We look forward to being guests at your 20th anniversary party and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
