Krista and Adam are a perfect example of how to handle a wedding day. Krista said, "I just want to get married. I'm not gonna get stressed about anything." Adam was laughing and seemed completely calm. Neither one of them seemed to be worried about a schedule or formality. They just wanted to enjoy their day. Their relaxed attitude set the tone for the whole day and everybody had a great time!
The day started at the Christ Lutheran Church. After the ceremony and some family pictures, everyone made their way to Reunion Ranch. We have shot a wedding at Reunion Ranch before and we knew what a great venue it was. When we arrived, the decorations looked great and Krista and Adam were ready to make their entrance. One of the best parts of their wedding was the grand march. If you haven't seen this before, you don't know what you're missing. All of the guests join the wedding party and parade around the venue, making huge lines and weaving in and out between each other. This big procession leads right into the first dance. For the first dance, all of those who took place in the grand march continue to stand around the newlyweds and watch them dance (and occasionally rush up on the couple with whoops and hollers squishing everybody in the middle of the group). It is great fun and a great way to get everyone involved in the wedding.
We had the opportunity to steal Krista and Adam for a few minutes during the reception and take some pictures outside as the sun set. It was a great time and the pictures looked great. They must have worked on their kissing between our engagement shoot and the wedding because every time I told them to kiss for a picture they were immediately responsive to my request and knew just what to do!
Krista and Adam, you both are so much fun and we had such a great time with you and your families. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day! We wish you many years of happiness!
