When we woke up on the morning of Kelsey and Sean's wedding, it was pouring cats and dogs. Elena and I looked at each other with disappointment. We've taken pictures of weddings at Texas Old Town before when the weather was bad and the pictures turned out great. One of the biggest advantages of doing weddings at Texas Old Town is the fact that bad weather doesn't spoil the day. Unlike many venues that only offer outside accommodations, everything can just be moved inside one of the awesome halls and the party doesn't miss a beat. HOWEVER, we just love being able to take pictures outside because the venue is so beautiful.
We backed out of the garage to go to the wedding and were thrilled to see that the clouds had moved on, the sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day! We met Kelsey and her sister at Tejas Hall and inspected the outside ceremony site. We all agreed that the rain in the morning hadn't been enough to make the ground too wet. Kelsey decided to go ahead with the outside ceremony. We were thrilled!
What made us even more thrilled was how much time Kelsey and Sean gave us to take pictures. Future brides and grooms, take good notes! If you want lots of great pictures to choose from, do what Kelsey and Sean did. Give us time to work with you. When Kelsey came to our house for her consultation, she told us that getting good pictures was important to her. Now, we hear that all the time. But, we can tell when a person really means it because we get lots of time to take pictures. Kelsey really meant it and the results were fantastic! We had time to do first look pictures with Kelsey and Sean. Then we spent time just enjoying the weather and finding different spots around Texas Old Town to take pictures. Kelsey was absolutely beautiful in her dress and Sean looked very sharp in his uniform.
The wedding was a great time of celebration and the perfect way to end our year! Kelsey and Sean, we are happy for you both and thankful that you chose us to capture your special day. We wish you both many, many years of happiness!
